Gomal Zam Dam is located on Gomal Zam River, a tributary of Indus River in KPK, Pakistan. The Project is mainly built for irrigation, while it also gives
considerations to flood control and power generation. Its catchment area upstream the dam site is 29,000km2. The reservoir capacity is 1.4 billion m3. The RCC gravity arch dam is 133.5m high, and 231m long at crest. The installed capacity of the plant is 17MW. The power transmission line is 55km long.
